Precalculus Honors

This fast-paced course prepares students for honors-level calculus through sophisticated algebraic reasoning and challenging applications. Students investigate functions in depth, derive and apply trigonometric identities, solve advanced equations, and study vectors, conic sections, parametric and polar representations, sequences, series, and introductory limits. Emphasis is placed on elegant methods, multiple representations, mathematical justification, and unfamiliar problems that require students to synthesize several concepts.
